Step One

Remove your stock grille
Do this by opening the hood and looking for clips or screws holding the grille in. You might have to remove the front bumper to do this.  Once the grille(s) are out, make sure to thoroughly clean them in order to prepare for the customization.

Modify your existing grille
Your OE grille has OE fitment, so modifying this grille is a great option.  In order to do this, use the cardboard to decide what type of design you are looking to achieve.  Make several different designs so you know it will look good.  This is an important piece of the project – modifying your current to a new style should make it look better, not worse.  After you have the design you want, cut your grille to accommodate the new mesh you have purchased.

Putting in the new Mesh
To put in the new mesh, you will need to cut to the right size and shape.  Refer to your cardboard design in order to do this.  Take your time while cutting – make sure to wear gloves and safety glasses during this step.  Once you have the mesh cut to your standard, it is time to install.  Get the epoxy and mix it.  Apply it to the back of the grille where you have inserted the new mesh.  Make sure to put in tabs or screws too, for additional support and stiffness.

Reinstall the grille
Use the same steps to take off the grille to put it on.  Take your time not to scratch the car or body panels.  Make sure everything looks good before tightening down anything hard.

Step Back
Step back and look at your excellent, chromed out grille!
